By creating an account or using ASOshots, you agree to these Terms. Read them. They're short, written in plain English, and govern what you can do with the service, what we owe you, and the limits on both sides.
1. The service
ASOshots renders polished, localized App Store screenshots from raw screenshots you upload. Generations are produced by AI image models; outputs are derivative of your inputs and the prompts our pipeline constructs. You retain rights to your inputs; you receive a perpetual license to use the outputs (see Section 5).
2. Account responsibilities
- One person per account. No sharing credentials.
- Keep your login credentials secure. You're responsible for activity on your account until you report a compromise.
- You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction).
3. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- Upload screenshots containing third-party copyrighted material you don't have rights to use.
- Generate content that violates applicable law: harassment, incitement, child exploitation, malware, fraud.
- Misrepresent generated screenshots as photographic evidence or unedited app behaviour in contexts where that would deceive a reasonable user.
- Resell or sublicense access to the service. (You CAN use generated outputs for client work — that's the whole point.)
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract proprietary prompts, model parameters, or our atlas of design references.
- Run automated load tests or stress workloads without prior written agreement.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Egregious violations forfeit any unused credits without refund.
4. Payment, plans, and credits
- Subscriptions auto-renew monthly (or annually) on the same day you signed up. Cancel any time from account billing; cancellation stops renewal at the end of the current cycle.
- Credits granted by your plan reset at each renewal. Unused credits do NOT roll over (unless your plan explicitly says they do — currently Studio rolls over up to 30 days).
- Billing currency is USD. Local taxes may apply at checkout.
- Failed payments suspend access after 3 retries over 7 days. You have 30 days to update payment before account data is queued for deletion.
5. Refunds
We offer a no-questions 7-day refund windowon any paid plan. The amount refunded depends on how many credits you've spent:
- Full refund — if no credits have been spent in the first 7 days, we refund the entire subscription amount.
- Pro-rated refund — if some credits were used, we refund the proportional value of your unused credits using the formula:
(unused_credits / plan_credits) × subscription_paid. Credits you've already spent pay for the work we delivered and are not refundable.
Worked example (Indie plan, $29 / 240 credits): if you've used 60 credits and have 180 left, your refund is (180 / 240) × $29 = $21.75. Credits already spent stay with the work you generated.
After 7 days, cash refunds are at our discretion. Unused credits remain in your account and never expire — you can keep using them even after canceling the subscription.
Refunds are processed within 5 business days back to the original payment method. Email billing@asoshots.comwith your account email and we'll handle it.
5.1 When refunds are NOT issued
To keep the policy fair to everyone, we reserve the right to deny refunds in clearly abusive cases:
- The account violated Acceptable Use (Section 3) — abuse forfeits unused credits without refund.
- More than 50% of plan credits were used in less than 72 hours, followed by a refund request (a burn-and-bail pattern that shifts API cost onto us with no path to recover it).
- Multiple refund requests have been received from the same payment method or same person across different accounts.
- A chargeback has already been filed with the card issuer (chargeback and refund are mutually exclusive — pick one path).
5.2 Failed generations
If a generation fails due to our error (image-provider downtime, internal bug, etc.), credits are not deducted in the first place— failed jobs simply don't consume your balance. Check the project detail page for the exact credit accounting and any failure banners.
6. Intellectual property
- Your inputs — you own them. By uploading, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to process them solely for the purpose of producing your generations.
- Your outputs — you receive a perpetual, royalty-free license to use generated screenshots for any lawful purpose, including commercial use (App Store listings, marketing, advertising). We do NOT claim ownership of the rendered images.
- Our IP— the ASOshots brand, atlas of reference screenshots, prompt engineering, and pipeline code are our property. You don't get a license to those by using the service.
7. Service availability and limits
We aim for 99.5% monthly uptime but make no guarantees. Generation latency depends on third-party AI provider capacity; published latency targets (~2 min Standard, ~6 min Pro) are aspirational, not contractual.
8. Disclaimers
ASOshots is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that generated screenshots will increase your App Store conversion rate, win awards, or please Apple's review team. Outputs are AI-generated and may occasionally contain artifacts, mistranslations, or composition issues. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before using them.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (lost profits, missed App Store launches, etc.).
10. Termination
Either party can terminate at any time. We will provide reasonable notice unless termination is for cause (acceptable-use violation, non-payment). On termination, your account data is retained for 30 days for export, then deleted (see Privacy Policy).
11. Changes to these Terms
Material changes will be emailed to you at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ASOshots is incorporated. Disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration where permitted; otherwise in the courts of that jurisdiction. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer rights you have under your local law.
